I am Professor of Transport Geography at the University of Oxford where I lead the Transport Studies Unit, an interdisciplinary research institute that specialises in the study of urban transport and mobility systems.
I am co-leading a research project on climate migration into cities at the University of Oxford. My research interests regarding climate change and migration are twofold: 1) understanding how climate-related migrants arriving in cities carve out a life there by securing employment, housing, access to daily services such as transport, healthcare and education; and 2) understanding how how the arrival and settlement of migrants affects intersecting infrastructures for transport, water and sanitation, healthcare, etc. in cities.
