Description |
I am an anthropologist at the Josef Korbel School of International Studies at the University of Denver (DU) and the Co-Director of the DU Center for Immigration Policy & Research (CIPR). I am a scholar of migration and borders, with fieldwork experience in southern Mexico, Guatemala, and on immigrant labor issues in the United States. I have recently begun a pilot project with colleagues (Matthew Taylor, Michelle Moran-Taylor, Jesse Acevedo, and Areli Palomo) that we hope to expand comparing perceptions about climate and migration in Guatemala’s Western Highlands and the Honduran Coast. We are interested in building bridges to compare the more nuanced relationships between migration and climate across different regions.
